Helping you unlock the best version of yourself—healing begins here!

My Journey

My journey as a therapist is a blend of both personal experience and scientific knowledge. As someone who has not only studied mental health and trauma extensively but also faced my own personal challenges, I bring a unique perspective to my work. As a woman of color, I’ve encountered struggles that have shaped my empathy and understanding in ways that go far beyond what I’ve learned in books. These experiences have taught me about resilience, growth, and the deeply personal nature of healing, allowing me to offer a level of compassion and insight that complements my professional training.

While personal experience informs my empathy, my clinical knowledge is grounded in evidence-based practices. I’ve dedicated myself to understanding the science behind mental health, earning advanced degrees and getting professional trainings. In my practice, I take an integrative approach, tailoring the therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual.

I combine methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Psychodynamic approaches to explore deeper emotional patterns, and often incorporate mindfulness techniques to help clients develop self-awareness and emotional regulation. I believe in using proven methods to support healing, but I also know that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. What works for one person may not work for another, and that’s why I’m committed to tailoring my approach to meet the specific needs of each individual. Whether we’re focusing on managing day-to-day stress or working through more complex trauma, I draw on a variety of evidence-based practices to create a personalized path toward healing.

My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood – a space where science and empathy meet. Whether you’re processing past trauma, building coping skills, or simply trying to navigate life’s challenges, I’m here to walk with you through it all. I believe in the power of combining compassionate support with proven therapeutic techniques to help you find a path toward healing that feels right for you.

I know firsthand that healing is a complex, deeply personal process. I’ve walked through it myself, and it’s what has inspired me to help others find their own way through. Together, we can work towards growth, resilience, and a sense of peace – one step at a time.
